News about ChurchAssistant...

Version 3 of wdChurchAssistant has been successfully used since August 2007. Version 3 is available for general distribution and there is no charge for the current release. Now that v3 is released, no further updates will be available for previous versions although support on "how to do it" will still be available. In other words, you should be upgrading to version 3.

wdChurchAssistantPro is now available as "freeware". That means free as in "no money"!  This is the full-featured church membership database with extensive contribution recording that originally sold for approximately $300CAD. Please do not assume that "freeware" means poor  or unprofessional quality... this is a fully functional, professional application.

Work has started on version 4 of ChurchAssistant with a projected release of 3rd quarter 2010. Now would be a good time to submit requests for new features or modifications to existing features.  The new version will be 100% compatible with your existing database. It may have remote access available as an option so that (for instance) your records secretary could work on the database from home (the database would be stored on the church computer).
